Upcoming Youth Stuff

Sunday Nights we will continue to focus on a mission's emphasis. We are going through a series called "Made to Make a Difference" as part of teaching students that they can be mission minded and active even as a teenager. We meet on Sunday nights at 6:00 p.m. in the youth room.

On August 11 we will use Sunday night as an opportunity put our bible study to action by serving in various roles at the Hope House. Wear your work clothes and get ready to help serve a ministry that continues to serve many people each week.

On Wednesday nights in the month of August we will focus on a series called "Inside-Out". This is a chance for us to learn about how we need to demonstrate Christ from the inside-out. Make plans to join us each Wednesday night from 6-7:30 in the youth room.

Don't forget about Sunday school at 9:45 in the youth room.

Sunday, July 14 the youth will begin a series called "Made to Make a Difference". This series will be on Sunday nights during July-August. There are four parts to this series that introduces students who have given of themselves in the name of service to the Lord. In between each series we will be participating in a service project to learn how to reach out to various parts of our church. We will learn how to be servants and intentional missionaries for our community and church. Come join us Sunday evenings at 5 in the youth room! See you then!
 I love you guys!

In My Own Little World! New series

July 10th- New Series for the youth on Wednesday. "In my own little world"

We all want service. We demand it. At a hotel – I want my reservation to be as it was promised, the right bed, non-smoking; I want a good bed where I don’t sink into the middle and touch the floor, and I want the room (especially the bathroom) spotless. At a restaurant I want a smile from the person waiting on me; I want my glass refilled before it is empty – don’t ask, just do it; I want my food served hot, my server to be cool and everything to be timely. AND most of all I want to enjoy it with the people I care about. As we begin a new series over these next few weeks entitled “my own little world” listen to these words from Proverbs 15:17 (NLT) – “A bowl of soup with someone you love is better than steak with someone you hate.”

How many of you know what I mean about service? We all like to be pampered, we all like to be treated like kings and queens – royalty in our own kingdom of delusions. Talk about red carpet treatment! We all like being treated like that. We all like being treated like we are someone important.
Though we all like feeling important, the Bible tells us how we can actually BE important.
Come  join us over the next couple of weeks as we discover Gods truth about what our job is here on earth with all the bad stuff that goes on around us.

Don't forget to bring a bible and a friend. We will be meeting in the youth room from 6-7pm.
